What is Super Hair Removal (SHR) and how is it Different?

Getting rid of unwanted hair is an age-old issue, with long-term hair removal being particularly challenging. SHR stands for Super Hair Removal, its a step forward in permanent hair reduction. Is SHR suitable for all skin types?

How many treatments are needed?

To fully treat the area you may require 6-8 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments, 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course.

IPL for hair removal is fairly effective, there is nothing wrong with it , IPL has certain limitations , slower speed , it is still safe and effective.

Something to take note

In theory, once the hair follicle is destroyed, it will never grow again. In real life some of the cells in the skin can regenerate hair follicles that have been destroyed by Laser, IPL or SHR. So, over time, even after the best hair removal treatment, some fine hairs regenerate. But may happen months or years later. For this reason, doctors have preferred to call hair removal – hair reduction – in order not to give the patients too unrealistic an. But whether it is reduction or removal, we are talking about the same thing – 80%-90% reduction that may need touch ups yearly.
