WHAT TO EXPECT
Pre-care
- Cease the use of all Retinol products 48hours prior to the peel.
During the peel
A tingling, itching or heat may be experienced on the skin during the treatment. This is due to the active ingredients penetrating and activating in the skin to perform their function.
After the peel
- You may experience mild discomfort, redness and/or flaking of the skin.
- It is not necessary to see visible flaking or peeling of the skin following for the peel to have worked.
- Makeup may be worn immediately following the treatment.
- If you have any concerns following your treatment, please contact the Clinic where your skin treatment was performed.
- You must discontinue use of any ‘treat’ products in your homecare for the next 5-7 days. This includes products containing AHAs, BHA, Vitamin C and Retinol.
- Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser broad spectrum sunscreen must be used daily.
- Avoid waxing, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks following the treatment.
- Avoid vigorous exercise or applying excessive heat to the area including saunas, steam baths, hot showers or chlorinated pools for 48hours following your treatment.
